Buy in for $900 ($650+250) Cashed out for $1400 = +500 Duration 2:51
Garden 5/5/10 $25 bomb-pot every new player/dealer with $800 Max buy in. A bit more actions and is different kind of traditional poker, a lot of “forced actions”
Showed up to the casino well rested, with a bit of carried over tilt from the pervious session. I was in overall good condition for the session.
This is sessions 149, I been going between the Parkwest Bicycle Casino and Hawaiian Garden. The different between the two, at the Bike the buy in for 5/5 is a bit deeper at $1000 (200BB) vs HG 5/5 max buy in at $600 and 5/5/10 max buy in at $800, decided to take a shot at the HG 5/5/10 on a Sunday night.
Bought in for $650, lost the first bomb pot and few blinds, stack down to (=$575)
First hand CO AKo raised to $40, 3 callers ($160) 10:19pm
Flop all low dry board, decided to cbet for $105, everyone folded. (=$725)
Second bomb-pot, SB AdJd. ($200) 10:30pm
Flop was 852r, no action. Turn Jh, I bet $55 CO raised to $200, I called. River 2, I bet $235, CO folded. (=$1055)
Third Hand, BTN 66. Bet $40 SB BB called ($120) 10:35pm
Flop 3210 rainbow, I bet $105, SB folded BB called, I told myself not to invest anymore chips into this pot, turn K, I thought it was a scared card for villain, I bet 205, BB jammed with 375 on top. I had to fold. (=$750)
This hand got me on tilt, first I did not accounted for villain’s stack size. Second, I once lost to a villain many months ago in the same situation while I was in straddle and villain raised with 66 in BTN and hit his set.
Nothing interesting in the next hour or so, stack was down to $500, Decided to add on $250. Stack size $750
Haven’t got an interesting hand in a while, looked down at QQ at the BTN, I raised to $40, SB re-raised to $140, BB jammed over the top for 185, SB had about $150 behind, I jammed with QQ. QQ held. Stack size (=$1030) 11:44pm
With the profit of $100, my table broke. I was going to call it a night since the other table seems to be tougher with more regs. The gambler side of me decided to sit down and play few hands.
At the second table I won a bomb-pot with 106o, Flop was 107d2d, I bet $65 two callers, Turn J checked around and river 2 bottom card paired, flush missed and I took that pot down for a nice $300+ profit.
I played a little under 3 hours for a profit of $500, it is always good to take a quick win. Playing the 5/5/10 is a bit intense mentally, however is also more actions and fun. I had a nice profit in the first 20minutes however the 66 at the BTN hand costed me all that profit. In poker losing is easy and winning is hard. This is my first poker blog, hope you enjoy it.
Cool blog man! Keep doing these, they are fun to read.
